How to use it

Cleanse + tone
Whatever you already use. Skin slightly damp helps the serum absorb evenly.

3 drops, press in
Two drops on cheeks, one on forehead. Press in — don't rub. It feels tacky for 30 seconds, then absorbs.

Moisturise + SPF (AM)
Layer your moisturiser on top to lock in. SPF 30+ daily is non-negotiable.
Questions answered
Is this vegan?
No — propolis is made by bees, so this serum isn't vegan. It is cruelty-free (no animals are harmed in propolis collection). If vegan is non-negotiable, email me and I'll match you with a non-propolis brightening serum that delivers similar results.
What if I'm allergic to bees?
If you have a known bee or pollen allergy, don't use this. Propolis is a bee product and could trigger a reaction. If you're not sure, patch-test on the inside of your wrist for 24 hours before applying to your face. Email me if you'd like a propolis-free recommendation instead.
Will this break me out?
Almost certainly not — in fact, propolis is naturally antibacterial and is in many Korean acne lines. People with acne-prone skin usually report fewer breakouts, not more, after starting this. The light water texture won't clog pores like richer "glow" oils do.
How is this different from a Vitamin C serum?
Vitamin C brightens by being an antioxidant — potent, but unstable, can sting, oxidises in 3 months. This serum brightens via niacinamide (different mechanism, no sting) and adds propolis for the glow + healing layer Vitamin C can't do. Niacinamide also lasts 12+ months in the bottle vs Vit C's 3. Different tool, broader job.
Can I use this with retinol or AHA?
Yes — one of the best pairings. Use this serum AM (the glow side) and your retinol or exfoliant PM. Niacinamide layers well with everything; propolis actually helps calm the irritation those actives often cause.
Does it feel sticky?
It's slightly tacky for the first 30 seconds — that's the propolis pulling moisture into the skin. Once it absorbs (under a minute), it's not sticky at all. Layer your moisturiser on top and it disappears. It also goes on cleanly under foundation, doesn't pill.
Is it safe during pregnancy?
Propolis and niacinamide are both considered pregnancy-safe in topical form — many of our customers actually started using this product through pregnancy to combat dullness. Please run any new skincare past your GP or obstetrician first.
How long until I see results?
Glow shows up on the first morning. Genuine brightening takes 2–4 weeks of consistent use. The "people are asking what I'm doing" moment is usually around week 3.
