Will this work on rosacea-prone skin?
Many of our customers with rosacea-prone skin use this daily and report visible calming within 2–4 weeks. We can't claim to treat rosacea (it's a medical diagnosis) — but the formula skips every common rosacea trigger (fragrance, alcohol, essential oils) and the centella + madecassoside combination is one of the most-studied calming pairings. If you're on a prescription, check with your derm before adding new skincare.
How is this different from Cicaplast Baume B5?
Cicaplast Baume B5 is mostly panthenol (vitamin B5) with a small amount of centella derivative — great as an SOS spot treatment, but greasy as a daily face cream. This is a different format: a multi-ceramide barrier cream you can actually wear AM/PM under SPF and makeup. Different jobs.
Can I use it with retinol or AHA?
Yes — in fact, this is one of the best buffer creams for retinol users. Apply this first to clean damp skin, wait 60 seconds, then your retinol on top. Many people who had to abandon retinol for irritation can tolerate it once they layer this underneath.
What's the "345" mean?
It's Dr. Althea's classification for the three skin types this cream targets: type 3 (dry), type 4 (sensitive), type 5 (reactive). The formula is built specifically for skin that lives in those categories chronically — not for normal, oily, or combination skin needing occasional hydration.
Is it safe during pregnancy?
All ingredients in this formula (ceramides, panthenol, centella, hyaluronic acid) are considered pregnancy-safe in topical form.
