If your skin is currently reacting, yes — at least for 2–4 weeks. Retinol, AHAs, BHAs, vitamin C, and benzoyl peroxide can all delay barrier repair when the barrier is already damaged. We can't claim to treat rosacea (it's a medical diagnosis), but centella is one of the most-studied natural anti-inflammatories. La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5 is mostly panthenol (vitamin B5) with a small amount of centella derivative. This is the opposite — pure Madagascar centella. Both work; they just work via different mechanisms. The Cicaplast is heavier (balm), this is lighter (ampoule). Many people use both: this in the day, Cicaplast at night.

Centella is widely considered pregnancy-safe in topical form — many pregnant customers use this as their only active during pregnancy because so much else is off-limits. Please run any new skincare past your GP or obstetrician first.

The 55ml bottle is about 8–10 weeks of twice-daily use at 4–5 drops per application. Once daily, it stretches to 16–20 weeks. For active barrier repair, twice daily is the protocol.
