For Dehydration For Fine Lines Mist Anytime Over Makeup OK PDRN + HA

"I just look so tired." If that's the line you say to the mirror lately, it usually isn't sleep — it's dehydration. Between the broken nights, the air-con, the screen time and dry Australian air, post-baby skin goes flat and tight and drinks water without ever looking plump. A mineral-water mist won't fix it; it just feels nice for 30 seconds.

This is the active mist. PDRN (Polydeoxyribonucleotide) — the same ingredient Korean clinics charge $600-1000 a session to inject — in a topical capsule mist, with multi-molecular Hyaluronic Acid that floods your skin with hydration that actually stays. Glow back in the time it takes to spritz.

Mist morning, noon, before the school run, over makeup, after a flight. The bottle that goes with you.

Anua PDRN Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Capsule Mist — the active mist that goes with you

The Alina Promise

Tried "hydrating" mists that just felt nice for 30 seconds? Try this for 30 days. If your skin isn't measurably more hydrated, email me. Refund or swap.

Most facial mists are perfumed water. This one isn't. If it doesn't deliver, I'd rather refund you than have you hold a bottle you don't reach for.

Email hello@alinabeauty.com.au — I personally reply within 24 hours.

"I work from home with the heater on through winter and the air-con on through summer — my skin used to feel like paper by lunch. I've tried every fancy mist on Mecca's shelf. This is the only one I refill. Three sprays mid-morning, three more after lunch — my face stays plump till bed."

Anua PDRN Capsule Mist — why capsules deliver where regular mists evaporate
Benefits

PDRN — the active behind Korean skin-booster trend

PDRN (Polydeoxyribonucleotide) is the ingredient Korean dermatologists inject at $600-1000 per session to stimulate fibroblast activity and rebuild aging skin. This is the topical version. Same active, daily mistable, fraction of the cost.

Capsule format means the actives actually land

Most mists evaporate before they penetrate. These tiny visible capsules suspended in the mist burst on contact with skin, releasing the PDRN and HA directly into the upper layers instead of into the air around your face.

Hydration that stays past 30 seconds

Multi-molecular hyaluronic acid penetrates the surface and the deeper layers. Most mists with HA use only one molecular weight — this one uses several, so it actually holds moisture in for hours, not minutes.

Mist over makeup. Doesn't ruin it.

Ultra-fine mist setting. Sprays on as a light film that absorbs in seconds — doesn't streak foundation, doesn't move concealer. Refresh your skin in the middle of a Zoom call.

The mist that earns its bag space

30ml fits in a handbag, gym bag, or carry-on. Goes everywhere with you. Flights, gym, the office, summer commutes — spritz when your skin starts to tighten and it stays plump.

What's in this bottle

The regenerator

PDRN (Polydeoxyribonucleotide)

A fragment of salmon DNA that closely resembles human DNA. Used in Korean and Italian aesthetic medicine for two decades to stimulate fibroblast activity, accelerate wound healing, and boost collagen synthesis. The topical form (this one) signals the same cells to keep producing the materials that keep skin plump and firm.

Note: PDRN is derived from salmon. If you have a fish allergy, skip this one — email me and I'll match you with a non-PDRN hydration alternative.

The hydrator

Multi-Molecular Hyaluronic Acid

Hyaluronic acid at multiple molecular weights — the larger molecules sit on the surface to seal in moisture, the smaller ones penetrate deeper to plump from within. Single-weight HA serums hydrate the surface only. This format works on both layers.

Why this over a Mecca-shelf mist

More actives. No fragrance. Mistable over makeup.

How to use it

No routine to memorise. Just spray when your face starts to tighten.

Step 1

Shake gently

A few small shakes activates the capsules. You should see them suspended visibly in the mist.

Step 2

Hold 15–20cm away

Spritz 3–4 times across the face. Eyes closed if you're going to be precious about it.

Step 3

Pat in. Repeat as needed.

Gentle pats let the capsules burst into skin. Use 2–5 times a day. Yes, over makeup. Yes, on flights.

Questions answered
What exactly is PDRN?

PDRN stands for Polydeoxyribonucleotide — small chains of DNA fragments derived from salmon (because the DNA structure closely resembles human DNA). In aesthetic medicine, it's used as a "skin booster" to stimulate fibroblast activity, the cells that produce collagen and elastin. Korean clinics inject it for fine lines, skin healing, and post-procedure recovery. The topical form delivers a fraction of the dose, daily, instead of one bigger dose monthly.

Is this vegan?

No — PDRN is derived from salmon DNA, so this product isn't vegan. The salmon used is a byproduct of the food industry, but if vegan is non-negotiable, email me and I'll match you with a non-PDRN hydration mist that delivers similar results.

What if I'm allergic to fish?

If you have a known fish or shellfish allergy, don't use this. Even though PDRN is highly purified, trace proteins can remain. Patch-test on the inside of your wrist for 24 hours before applying to your face if you're not sure. Email me for a fish-free alternative.

Can I really spray it over makeup?

Yes — this is one of the few active mists that's actually designed for it. Ultra-fine atomiser, no oil, no fragrance, no residue. Hold the bottle 15–20cm from your face, spray 3–4 light bursts, let it settle for 30 seconds. Doesn't streak. Doesn't move foundation. Works as an in-day setting refresh.

How is this different from Vichy Mineral 89 or Avène Thermal Water?

Both are great products doing different jobs. Avène is mineral water in a can — refreshing, calming, no active. Vichy Mineral 89 is a serum (different format, has HA but no PDRN). This is the only one of the three with PDRN as an active, in mist format you can use over makeup. Many of our customers use Avène for quick refreshes and this for the active dose.

Will this replace my serum?

No — think of it as the daytime active layer, not a routine replacement. Your AM and PM routine stays the same: cleanse, tone, serum, moisturise, SPF. This mist slots in during the day when your skin starts feeling tight, or as a midday top-up of HA + PDRN. Many people add it as their "5pm reset" before going out.

How long until I see results?

Immediate hydration — skin looks plumper within a minute of the first application. Visible improvement in fine lines (especially around the eyes): 3–6 weeks of consistent daily use. The "I haven't bothered with my desk water bottle today and my skin doesn't feel tight" moment is usually around week 2.

Is it safe during pregnancy?

PDRN and hyaluronic acid are both generally considered pregnancy-safe in topical form. The salmon source is a non-issue topically — nothing systemic. Please run any new skincare past your GP or obstetrician first, especially if you have allergies.

What if it doesn't work for me?

Use it consistently for 30 days. If your skin isn't visibly more hydrated, email hello@alinabeauty.com.au and tell me. Refund or swap, no return needed.

How long does one bottle last?

The 30ml bottle is about 4–6 weeks if you mist 3–4 times a day. Twice a day stretches it to 8–10 weeks. Most people who use it as a midday refresh go through one bottle a month. Worth subscribing if you want it to land on your doorstep before you run out.

PDRN vs typical mineral mist — same skin booster ingredient as the clinic, daily-use format
